Becky’s Fiber Art
After my retirement from a teaching career, I am now able to pursue my own fiber art interests such as new-to-me techniques, experimenting with my art craft, and exploring the ‘what if’s...’ of my creations.
I am a process person often incorporating my gyotaku fish rubbings with other techniques including hand dyed or painted fabrics, botanical and eco printing, hand and machine stitching and quilting, and incorporating tactile materials.
Living in Minnesota lake country, it is easy to find beauty in nature that have amazing patterns, shapes and colors that make for great inspirations.
“I don’t think being good at things is the point of doing them. I think you’ve got all these wonderful experiences with different skills, and that all teaches you things and makes you an interesting person, no matter how well you do them.”
