I’m Minnesota Bound!

I am beyond excited, and feeling honored, to share that my Gyotaku fish art story will be featured on a televised segment of Minnesota Bound, a Ron Schara TV Productions. Wow - how cool is that! It is every artist’s dream and big goal to be recognized for one’s art and journey.
Recent facebook posts featuring my art of gyotaku fish printing and process captured the eye of a host/producer for “Minnesota Bound,” a Ron Schara Productions. He asked if I would be interested in sharing my story on their NBC show. They thought it would be a good segment of interest for their viewers. Yes!
The videographer arrived at my studio with a 5 pound Sheepshead on ice and proceeded to tape my process of turning that fish into a piece of art. They will then edit for a weekly show to be aired in 2022. What a fun experience I had the day of the shooting. Thank you Minnesota Bound crew! It should be a good segment.
I look for any opportunity to share how my gyotaku art captures not only the exact surface details of a fish making a unique one-of-a-kind piece of art, but also can capture memories and memorialize the fish. My Minnesota Bound segment will cover it all!
